I am honored to join this platform to share an urgent and heartfelt appeal for our beloved brother, Artist Tasammaa Galataa. With over 30 years of dedication to the arts, he has brought joy and inspiration to countless lives. Today, he faces a life-threatening challenge, battling both heart disease and leukemia.
Currently, Artist Tasammaa is receiving treatment at Paul’s Hospital, but his condition requires advanced care abroad. The hospital board has recommended transferring him to India or Turkey for specialized treatment, which is estimated to cost 5,000,000–6,000,000 ETB.
Despite his invaluable contributions, Tasammaa lives in a rented home with his family and has no significant financial resources. His greatest wealth has always been his people—us. Now, he needs our support more than ever.
We call upon everyone—friends, supporters, entrepreneurs, the government, and our diaspora community—to come together and assist with whatever you can. Let us help Artist Tasammaa get the treatment he urgently needs and ensure his recovery.
