Fundrassing for Irrecha festival in 2017 – Fundraising Plan

Introduction

Irreechaa is a vital festival for the Oromo people, marking the transition from the rainy season to harvest time. It is a moment of giving thanks to Waaqa (God) for blessings such as peace, health, and prosperity. The festival also symbolizes unity and cultural pride. In 2017, we aim to elevate the celebration by offering food, accommodation, and badges to 500 participants. To make this a reality, we seek to raise funds with the support of our community.
Objective
1. Provide food and accommodation for 500 attendees.

2. Distribute badges symbolizing unity and participation.

3. Ensure inclusivity by removing financial barriers to participation.

4. Foster community unity through collective contributions.

5. Promote the work of Abdissa Integrated Community Development Organization (AICDO) in preserving Oromo cultural heritage.

Why We Need Your Support

Organizing Irreechaa on this scale requires careful planning and resources. Your support will help:

Ensure safe accommodation for all attendees, especially those with limited means.
