Mary Joy Ethiopia is a veteran humanitarian organization that has been supporting vulnerable children and the elderly for the past 30 years. Recently, it has been engaged in the work of lifting the street children, especially nursing mothers, from the streets.
In the first round, we took 15 mothers who had been living on the street with children in their arms, and put them in a rehabilitation center to recover from addiction and similar problems. We are working to make them independent and worthy citizens who can survive for the country by providing them with training and starting capital during their stay in the center.
It takes six months and costs 75,000 Birr ($1, 400) to take a person from the streets to a rehabilitation center and bring them back to the community. In the next rounds, we are collecting the 45,000,000 Birr ($845,000) that we need to take 600 of our people off the streets and start their own businesses.

ሜሪ ጆይ ኢትዮጵያ ላለፉት 30 አመታት ለችግር የተጋለጡ ሕፃናትና አረጋውያንን ሲደግፍ የቆየ አንጋፋ ግብረሰናይ ድርጅት ነው። በቅርቡ ከጎዳና ተዳዳሪ ወገኖቻችን አንጻር በተለይም አጥቢ እናቶችን ከጎዳና የማንሳት ስራውስጥ ተሰማርቷል።
በመጀመሪያ ዙር 15 ህፃናት ታቅፈው ጎዳና ላይ ኑሮዋቸውን ያደረጉ እናቶችን ከጎዳና በማንሳት ከሱስ እና መሰል ችግሮች እንዲያገግሙ ወደ ማገገሚያ ማእከል አስገብተናል። በማእከል ውስጥ ቆይታቸው ስልጠናና መነሻ ካፒታል በመስጠት እራሳቸውን ችለው ለሀገር የሚተርፉ ብቁ ዜጋ እንዲሆኑ እየሰራን ነው፡፡
አንድን ሰው ከጎዳና አንስቶ በማገገሚያ ማእከል አቆይቶ የራስን ስራ ወደ መስራት ደረጃ በማድረስ ወደ ማህበረሰቡ ለመመለስ የስድስት ወራት ጊዜን እና የ75,000 ብርን ወጪ ይጠይቃል። በቀጣይ ዙሮች 600 ወገኖቻችን ከጎዳና አንስተን የራሳቸውን ስራ እንዲጀምሩ የሚያስፈልገንን 45,000,000 ብር እያሰባሰብን እንገኛለን።
አንድን ሰው ያንሱ ወይንም እንደአቅምዎት በመለገስ አንድን ሰው ከጎዳና ለማንሳት ምክንያት ይሁኑ።
የእርሰዎ ድጋፍ ጎዳና ላይ ለሚገኙ ዜጎች ህይወት መለወጥ አሻራው ጉልህ ነው!
