In Dimma, a town in Gambella, Ethiopia, many young people, like 16-year-old Ojulu, are trapped in a cycle of substance abuse. Once full of dreams of becoming a gold mining investor, Ojulu now spends his earnings on alcohol, khat, and drugs. His addiction led to contracting HIV and Hepatitis B, isolating him from friends and family.

Ojulu’s story reflects a troubling reality: one in two youths in Dimma struggles with substance abuse, contributing to an HIV and hepatitis virus prevalence of 5-8%.

To address this, we’re launching the “Changing Dimma Youths with Fun Project.” Our goal is to create a recreational and training center offering activities like basketball, life skills training, and essential medical services.

Your generous donations will make this vision a reality. Every contribution, whether $10, $50, or $100, will help us empower the youth of Dimma and create a brighter future for our community. Thank you!
