Barns' Eden Charity Organization (BECO) is an international non-governmental charity organization located in Norway, and works two years and above. And then by opening its branch office in Ethiopia in 2023/2016, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization. In Ethiopia the organization has been registered and licensed by Charities and society agency in accordance with the charities and society proclamation no1113/2011bearing the certificate no 7002 from Ethiopian Civil Society organization.
The organization mainly focuses on supporting Autistic and Disabled children, orphans, vulnerable children, empowerment of parents/ families/guardians. In this short year of experience, the organization engaged in a various development activity which includes giving comprehensive care and support Autistic and children with disability /CWD/ and their parents /families. BECO aims to achieve its vision through implementation of five integrated programs. These programs are humanitarian support, Autistic and Disabled children Support, parents /families of Autistic and Disabled children Empowerment, Autistic and Disabled children home to home health and training follow up and advocating good social norms and value. BECO also aim to reach children with special need /CWSN/ under different social settings with special emphasis to emergency affected community.
Currently, BECO has developed a three-year project plan to address socio-economic problems of parents /families and their Autistic and disability children through providing educational material, medication, psycho social supports and provision of relevant capacity building trainings, startup capitals for their parents /families /guardians enable to engage them in income generating activities.
